Impulse Talks, Workshop and Presentations of higher MID/MArch semesters

Welcome to the Detmolder Schule für Gestaltung. Before the studios and seminars begin October 5th, we’re kicking off the semester with a dedicated MID / MArch Welcome Workshop starting from September 30th — three days built around impulse talks from our own students and researchers (IDS), a hands-on session with generative AI in architecture, and a first round of presentations with an industry partner.

Before Wednesday
Orientation Week actually begins already on Monday, with events in both Lemgo and Detmold — welcomes from the university leadership, the deans’ offices, and more. All details for these first two days are being sent separately by the university via email, so keep an eye on your inbox. On Monday and Tuesday, the student council (Fachschaft) is also running its own programme, and every Master’s student is warmly invited to join in.
The MID / MArch Welcome Workshop proper starts on Wednesday, 30 September at 9:30, in Room 4.303 in Detmold.

 

 

In addition please also SAVE THE DATE for our IDS-Conference “RESET.design.construction” – a two day interchange with industry leaders and researchers on how AI changes architectural planning and production. The conference takes place at our partner Schüco Int. KG in Bielefeld on November 17./18. 2026. You can already check the program on our IDS website.
