“Down 2 Earth – Configurator for Rammed Earth Construction”
The construction industry is in constant change. New technologies are being developed rapidly in response to the challenges of the modern life. However, these innovations often overlook the vast cultural legacy embedded in traditional constructions. The city was built from the center to the outside, and only in these centers we found the tradition – The significance of symbolics.
Daniel Libeskind, emphasize the importance of position significant architecture in the center ofthe city, as it displays the city’s identity and culture (Libeskind, D. 2004)- Buildings made many years ago, that are still standing, buildings filled with immense cultural value and that today they only contrast the modern buildings.
Tradition represents a valuable resource for communities, offering viable alternatives to address their housing needs. It has been shown that communities with less resources, tend to approach the traditional construction methods and it has been proven to provide more practical and adaptable solutions.
Tradition meets technology. This is an exploration of how the new digital tools can add into the potential of traditional building methods, providing a tool for everyone, from novice to expert.
To understand this, we go back to the beginning, we go back Down to earth.
