Advanced Representation Techniques (Vertiefung Darstellungstechniken)

SS 2017

In the second semester students develop their Architectural Representation skills addressing the intersections of form, style, structure, and communication through a ‘DigiLog’ approach.

Task 1 & 2

As the first step the students research an existing landscape or topography, understanding it´s shape and geometry. With the help of digital maps and the gathered data, the students then 3D-model the topography using the freehand-model tool in Rhinoceros 3D.

Based on the 3D-modelled landscape, the students are tasked to develop a bridge construction connecting several parts of the landscape. Thus the students can experiment with various construction methods and tools and explore the 3D-modelling software.
